When Luis was eighteen, he was forced to leave his beloved Cuba. But he embraced his new country with all his heart and might. He served in the US Army Reserve even before becoming a citizen of his new country in 1968. Luis worked for several international companies and was able to travel the world. In 2015 he retired from Florida Crystals Sugar in West Palm Beach.
Luis was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Angel and Maria Navidad Paulete and his older brother, Pedro Angel Paulete, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ellen McElroy Paulete, his daughters, Marilyn Gyselinck and Francisca Paulete and two grandchildren Lexie and Cameron Gyselinck.
Funeral services will be conducted from Red Bank United Methodist Church, 3800 Dayton Blvd, Chattanooga, TN, at 12:30 PM on Saturday April 13, 2024. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 11:30 AM.
Luis will be interred at Chattanooga Memorial Park, 501 Memorial Drive, Chattanooga, TN, following the funeral service..
