She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Gary R. Dillow, who would be the first to admit that he married up.
Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children: Mark Dillow and his wife Tammy of Round Rock, Texas; Rhea King of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Evan Dillow of Garland, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren—Justin Dillow and his wife Christina, Marissa Mendoza and her husband Pedro, Amber Santos and her husband Adam, Madissen DuBan and her husband Jason, Bradley Kaufman, and Zachary Kaufman—and her great-grandchildren Arianna Dillow, Ainsley Santos, Adelyn Mendoza, Luke Dillow, and Leia Dillow.
A farmer’s daughter, homecoming queen, and devoted pastor’s wife, Margaret faithfully served alongside her husband in ministry for over fifty years. She was known simply and affectionately as “Mom”, “Mom2, and “Nana”, roles she embraced with deep love and devotion.
Margaret lived a simple life of faith in a complex world, holding tightly to the promises of Scripture—not as theological theory, but as her daily rule of life. She found joy in music, hummingbirds, and flowers, but her greatest treasure was always her family.
She was an encourager to the disheartened, a trusted friend and confidant, and a steadfast believer in the power of prayer—an oak of righteousness whose strength and faith created an enduring legacy.
We miss her, but our parting is tempered because we do not grieve as those who have no hope. She has been reunited with dad and has met her Savior face to face. We will one day see her again. Mom disliked goodbyes, so we simply say “see you soon”.
