Born in Rossville, Georgia in 1921, to the late Oscar and Gertrude Lyle. She was graduated from Central High School in 1939. Margaret worked until she retired, with TVA as an executive secretary. She was an active member of Brainerd Baptist Church ( Charter member).
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Donald Durham; Parents Oscar William Sr. ( Estell ) and Gertrude Ruth Stotts Lyle; sisters Kate Lyle Blevins and Frances Lyle Carico; Brother O.W. Lyle
Margaret is survived by her sons Donald Philip ( Lynn) Durham and Richard Lyle ( Spence) Durham; daughter Jane Durham ( Jim) Ball; grandchildren Jeremy Paul Durham, Rebekah Jane Durham
Brian Durham Ball , Eric Douglas Ball, Margaret Kathryn Durham McLawhorn and Franklin Lyle Durham; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 14, 2013 from 9 am – 10:30 am at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 am at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Steve Rowland officiating
