

“Quiet, gentle and refined, always thoughtful, always kind.” Rebecca was known for her kindness and welcoming demeanor to others, both to friends and strangers.
She was a graduate of Hixson High School, Class of 1958. Rebecca was an A student and conscientious in all of her studies, particularly grammar and Literary Arts. She was a member of the Honor Society, Glee Club, Beta Club, Drill Squad, Cafeteria Staff, and School Newspaper Staff. She was also voted a Senior Class Beauty.
Rebecca was a beloved mother and friend to all and active in her church of Presbyterian faith. She enjoyed music and singing in the choir when she was young and had a beautiful voice. She was employed throughout the years at Chattanooga Glass Company, Provident, Combustion Engineering, Gold Bond Inc, and retired from the City of Red Bank. Throughout her life, she also enjoyed gardening, watercolors and other forms of art, caring for animals, and was also an avid reader of various genres of books, particularly biographies and her Bible.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Geren, father James Willard Godsey, mother Dortha Rhea Godsey, brother Jimmy Godsey, sister Sylvia Ann Pitney, all of Chattanooga, TN.
She is survived by brother Donald W Godsey, daughter Theresa Keith, grandchildren Maura Keith Stough and Iain Keith and great grandson Aidan Stough, stepsons Mark Geren and Michael Geren.
