Marie was born in Chattanooga and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1977. She was a Nationwide Insurance Agent in the Chattanooga area for the past 17 years. Marie was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Fox and her brother, Eddie Fox.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, David Meador; her sons, Shane Meador and his wife Misty and Steven Meador; three grandchildren, Austin, Aubree and Avery; Marie’s father, Joe Fox and her brother John Fox and his wife Lisa; several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday and 2 to 6 pm on Wednesday at the North Chapel.
A Mass of Celebration will be held at 1 pm on Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church, 930 Ashland Terrace in Chattanooga with Monsignor Al Humbrecht officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery with Nationwide Life Insurance Agents serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to St. Jude Catholic Church, 930 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415.
