

Mark grew up in Garner, North Carolina, was a graduate of Garner High School and Appalachian State.
Mark was a very loving, caring and selfless person, always thinking of others before himself. He was an amazing father, a wonderful husband and a great friend. He deeply loved and was proud of his children and always made sure that they knew this. He was an excellent provider and always put his family first.
Mark had many passions in life, including the love of sports – especially Appalachian State and NC State, the love of music and vacationing in his favorite places along the Carolina Coast especially Shackleford Banks, or in the mountains, as he was a true Mountaineer. He found joy, true bliss and serenity in and on the water.
Mark is survived by his wife of 17 years, Kim Woodlief; children, Anderson and Harrison Hall, Jake, Katherine and Cooper Woodlief; mother, Rodney Ann Ashworth; father, Don Woodlief; brothers, Jeff and Scott Woodlief; grandmother, Betsy Dowd.
We invite you to celebrate the life of Mark Woodlief, who will forever be remembered as a strong, loyal, passionate, funny, and generous spirit from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, January 2, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4 pm on Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
