Remembering our sister Ann on this day.
RIP Anna Bell.

    Great  Aunt  Anne was a bold and fun loving  person who helped me get through my divorce 20 yrs ago.   She was full of advice and jokes which filled my heart.  I regret losing touch with her.
    
  Life gets too busy at times and you have difficulty keeping family  or friends in mind.   It's  worth it  for our  for our souls to take time to get in touch. 
     
 May  Great Aunt Anne find  her perfect "cheesy -grits"  and meet Elvis in heaven.  

I was saddened to read of Ann's passing; she was a close and longtime friend of my mother, Polly Baker.  We met Ann and Raleigh when they had the restaurant on Gunbarrel in the early days of Hamilton Place Mall.  When I was looking for host families for foreign exchange students, the Maddoxes graciously opened their home to a young man from Asia (Hong Kong, I believe).  

I am sorry for your family's loss.  All of you will remain in my prayers for a long time to come.  

I was blessed to have Ann as a mother law for a part of my life. She was a true giver with everyone, and she loved her family with a passion. I will always hold on to my memories of her with a loving heart.  I know she is resting in the arms of Jesus. 💕

What a precious, selfless, kind and welcoming woman in my life.  She was my sweet mother-in-love.  I loved her laugh.  I loved how she loved her children.  I loved that she could get feisty when she needed - those were fun times….I’ve been blessed to glean some wisdom from her from our talks.  Anne loved her Lord Jesus and that gives us all comfort.  Rest in your perfect body sweet Anne.  You are already dearly missed. 

My Aunt Ann was one of a kind! She loved her politics.  I remember hearing her on morning radio talk shows whenever we would visit my grandma in Chattanooga.
I also remember riding in her Volvo. It was ancient but it always got us around.
She was tough and gave it all she could during her illness. 
We are at peace knowing she is resting in God's arms.

Ann was my sister and I am sad she has passed on. But I am comforted in knowing she is in God's care now. I have a lot of good memories of Ann. I will cherish these memories and hold them in my heart forever. We had some fun and crazy times growing up. Ann had a Volvo that she loved and drove it until she could no longer find any parts to repair it.  We had some crazy rides in that car.  Ann drove us over Missionary Ridge one time like a bat out of hades going to an estate sale in pursuit of some hidden treasure. I wasn't sure we would make it all in one piece and Jack was in the backseat being slung from side to side. We made it,  but  we were not successful in finding that hidden  treasure. But it was fun trying.  RIP sister.
