Marvin was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and owned and operated a Swafford Dump Trucks business.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay F. Swafford; a daughter, Sarah Parten.
Marvin is survived by his daughter, Diane; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Marvin will follow at 12:30 pm on Saturday at the North Chapel. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
