Mary Watts-Grant, 50, of Hixson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 5, 2011. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late Emmett and Mazie Lee Thomas Watts and had lived for a number of years in the Chattanooga area.
Mary was a member of The Galilean and owner of Creations Hair Salon in Hixson.
She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, and planning celebrations for every occasion.
She is survived by her husband, John Grant of Hixson; son, Nathan (Nikki) Watts of Rossville, GA; her brothers and sisters and their families, Dale Whaley, David Watts, Mark Watts, Brenda Worcester, and Linda Spiars. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother, Sharon Watts and Paul Watts.
Mary was a godly woman who was never ashamed to share the love of the Lord with you. She touched the hearts of many and will continue to touch lives forever.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Sneed officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
