She was born in Townsend, Tennessee to the late Paul and Mary Bryant. Mary was a member of The Galilean Church in Middle Valley.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Rex Self and a son, Jimmy Self.
Mary is survived by her sons, Marvin (Kay) Self and Kevin Self; grandchildren, Richard and Josh Self, Amanda (Phillip) Anderson, Matthew (Tabitha) Glab and David (Ivy) Glab; seven great grandchildren; brother, Allen (Cathy) Bryant; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 pm on Sunday, September 30, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A memorial service for Mary will be announced later.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
