Mary was born in Rainsville, Alabama on July 28, 1937. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. She retired from Bright School. Mary was a dedicated Christian and was a former Sunday School teacher at Lupton Drive Baptist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Donald “Don” A. Smith as well as her parents, Daniel and Pauline Hughes.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, David A. (Toby) Smith; sister, Dorothy (James) Ray; grandchildren, Gregory (Laura) Parker and Corey (Tori) Smith; great grandchildren, Kayden, Lindsey and Tanner Parker and Della and Maddox Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 5th from 4-7 pm and Friday the 6th from 12-1 pm. The funeral will be at 1:00pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Roger DeHart officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
