Mary Christine (Chris) Tarziers Mcgill, went home to be with the Lord Sunday August 31, 2023. She was born on December 27, 1936, in Dresden, TN before moving to Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husbands; Peter T Tarziers of 43years and Jesse B McGill of 9 years; her parents Minice Hamlin and Clara Bowlin; and brother Ray Edward Hamlin. She worked as a registered nurse and nursing home administrator for over 30 years and had a special love for the elderly and helping people. She worked at Childrens, Dr Corey’s, Hamilton County Nursing Home, Alexian Brothers Nursing Home, and consulting work with Dan Gray.
She is survived by one child, Robert H Tarziers and daughter-in-law Jeana G. Tarziers; two grandchildren, Kyndel Lyndsey Tarziers, Kennedy Morgan Tarziers and two step grandchildren, Joel Morgan Solchenberger, Leonard Earl Solchenberger III; and her surviving sibling, Hugh Gene Hamlin.
In her later years the joy of her life was being surrounded by her grandchildren and close friends. She was a woman of God that lived her life for not only her family but for the Lord our Savior. Regardless of the situation she always had a kind word for everyone she met. She loved working in the yard and having breakfast or enjoying the late afternoon on her screened porch by the water fall on her Koi pond. Craft fairs, stained glass, pottery, and the beautiful Tennessee mountains were the things she loved in life but nothing was more important to her than our Savior and her family.
