

Tip, as everyone knew her from her childhood hometown of Sandrock, Al., was born to Irby and Elsie Carver on May 22, 1935.
She graduated from Sandrock High School, where she was a cheerleader, before moving to Chattanooga, where she met Loyd Ezell, her husband of 54 years. After working for DuPont for a few years, she worked for over 36 years and then retired from the Boilermaker Local 454 Union Hall. She was a member of The Eastern Star and a Lady Shriner, and a member of Bayside Baptist Church. Her hobbies were bowling, softball, ceramics, and getting involved in whatever her 3 kids were doing, whether it be scouts, ball, fishing, camping, school events, or traveling. Some of her many great attributes were serving others always before herself and being first to offer help to whoever she saw that needed it.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irby and Elsie Carver, two brothers, Babe & Joe Carver, her late husband of 54 years, Loyd Ezell, and her late husband of 9 years, Peanut Hufstetler.
Survivors include Randy Ezell (Joan) of Cedar Bluff, Al., Charles Ezell (Nancy) of Soddy-Daisy, Tn., Kathy Swindall (Mike) of Harrison, Tn.. 5 grandchildren Lori Ezell, David Swindall, Matthew Ezell, Amanda Swindall, and Douglas Ezell. 6 great grandchildren, Scott Donahue, Spencer Kellogg, Kailey Harmon, Emma Swindall, Grant Swindall, and Jada Swindall.
The family will receive family and friends at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson, Tn., on Thursday, June 25, from 5-7 p.m. and Friday at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
