Uncle Tony I wish you a very Merry Christmas with Jesus and our family in heaven !

To the greatest Uncle a niece could ever have! Uncle Tony I will truly miss you my heart is broken we had lots of memories since I was a little girl and I'm 55 now... Those motorcycle rides those airplane rides and all the long talks we had over the years! You have truly been an Angel in my life you are up in heaven now with moma your sister Caroline and I know y'all are having a great time ! I love you RIP..,

I am truly at a loss for words. Such a shock. We parted after ten years together but still remained friends. He was my Dad's best fishing buddy and very special to my Mom, niece and nephew. Our hearts hurt for him.

It is with a heavy heart that I offer my condolences to Tony's family and loved ones. He was a part of my life for over forty years and he will be deeply missed. Tony offered me such love, encouragement, and advice after the death of my husband, Bob. He moved me forward by always telling me that it only takes " one step at a time". He was more than a friend and although his sudden passing has filled me with sorrow, there are many good memories to hold close to the heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.

Tony and I became good friends from our association there and I came to understand what a keen mind he had and a great heart in helping others. I am  saddened to hear of Tony's death, Tony was my instructor on the 737 & 727 , He was one of the best instructors I had at  Piedmont, Tony was a special friend that will be missed,

I am so profoundly saddened to hear of Tony's passing. He was a good friend and colleague when we were based in Atlanta, and also my Instructor on the 727. Tony was well respected by all who knew him. His nickname was "Darth" to most of us because of his gentle demeanor when we made his day more challenging. I say this in the spirit of remembering the fun times in  the good ole' Piedmont days. Tony will be sorely missed by us all. To his family, my sincerest and profound condolences.

I am very saddened to hear of Tony`s passing.  I had talked with him just two weeks ago. I worked with him in the training department and later on Tony was my instructor on the767. Tony was responsible for the development and implementation of Piedmont`s international procedures, and did a great job. He will be missed.

I just finished flying a 3 day trip for USAirways and received the news about Tony! I worked for Tony Underwood in the training department setting up the International Procedures for Piedmont Airlines. Tony was a great guy to work for, and I will never forget the day I asked Tony about travel reimbursements? Tony, how much do I put down for expenses on this training trip for company reimbursement? He said, "John, take an accounting of how much money you have on you when you start, and what's left after your finished"! That's what you submit! He will truly be missed!

I am shocked and saddened upon reading Tony's obituary. We worked together for years at Piedmont Airlines. My last years, before retiring from Piedmont, was spent working with Tony in the Boeing 767 training department. My prayers are with his family.

Tony was a long lost friend that I had tried to relocate several weeks ago to no avail. 
We worked together at Piedmont for many years. The last project we had was that of introducing Boeing 767 from Charlotte to London. He took the bull by the horns and saw the mission through to its completion. Many pilots and passengers both past and present have much to be indebted to Tony for. My life is much better for having worked with and known Tony.

Tony will be greatly missed by all his friends at Stump Hollow. He usually stopped by and chatted for a few seconds or ate a meal with us. We got to see him at Destin for dinner.  So thankful that we could make it. He was a wonderful friend and neighbor who is definitely going to be missed.  Prayers to the family.

It is hard to believe that we were talking and joking with Tony less than a week ago. The Islander will miss him dearly. Glad he came around when down in Destin.

Reading the obits we were talking (a friend) is this the Tony that we knew in the 1970's? We were talking about the 1960 red car & trips to Nickie's. Tony was a fun guy & we were just reminiscing old times.

Tony will be greatly missed in our neighborhood here at Holiday Surf.  His wry sense of humor, pleasant conversations and camaraderie always brightened my day. Surely he is flying higher now than ever before.

God blessed us greatly with such a kind and wonderful man when Tony came into our lifes. He had a great smile  and I will miss him dearly. God needed another angel and I will see him on the other side.
