
Myra was born in Union Grove, Alabama. She attended Jacksonville State Teachers College (Jacksonville State University) in Jacksonville, Alabama. Myra taught the 3rd grade in Asbury Alabama. She was a longtime member of Eastwood Baptist Church and attended St. Johns United Methodist Church in Aiken S.C. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. She was loved by all and her memory will be cherished. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
Myra is preceded in death by husband Kenneth Smith; parents Jesse and Lucile Windsor; brothers Howard and Jim Windsor
Myra is survived by her daughters Carolyn ( Jack) Roberts of Aiken, SC, Sylvia ( Bobby) Davis of Midland, NC and Judy ( Clindon) Norris of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren Cynthia Davis, Robert ( Alicia) Davis, Matthew ( Saori) Norris, Mark ( Deb) Norris, John Roberts and Scott Roberts; great-grandchildren Xavier, Annabel and Issac Davis and Sara, Kamryn and Peyton Norris; sister Dorothy Walls of Flagler beach, FL and Doris Alred of Guntersville, AL and other extended family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 5 , 2015 from 12- 1 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel
Funeral service for Myra will be conducted at 1 pm on Saturday, December 5 , 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Bill Etheridge Officiating
Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Myra’s name to the American Cancer Society or St. Johns United Methodist Church in Aiken, SC.
