Nancy Beth Hayford

Nancy was retired and a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church. Nancy loved her family most of all and cooking, and hosting family events. She was always a fan of pop culture, music, movies and reading magazines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cecil Hayford, Jr. and her parents Edward and Helen Jaeger; and a sister, Sue Schmidt.

Nancy is survived by her children, Sarah (Owen) Smith of Richmond, VA; Emily (Jeff) Long of Chattanooga and Matthew (Chrissy) Hayford, Soddy Daisy; grandchildren, Brady and Ian Smith, Samuel, Laken and Evey Long, Alex and Connor McCuiston; great grandchild, Violet McCuiston; brother-in-law, Paul Schmidt.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm on Wednesday, July 9, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Nancy’s life will follow at 2 pm on Wednesday at the North Chapel with Father Alex Waraksa presiding. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
