

Ngon T. Wong passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the age of 91. He was born in Canton, China. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star for his service during WWII in the US Army. He called Chattanooga his home and owned Phillips Laundry.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a lifelong learner. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
Left with loving memories are his wife of 63 years, Lai Sim Wong; his children; Mary and Andrew Chung, Pearl Wong, Nelson and Marcetta Wong, all of Chattanooga, and Jimmy and Cheryl Wong of Mount Juliet; grandchildren, Heather and Jason Thompson, Marianne Chung, Dustin Wong, Jeremy and Bree Wong, Travis and Kayla Wong, Julianne and Matthias Chung, Karianne Chung, and Matthew Chung; great grandchildren, Riley Armstrong, Tanner Wong, Callie and Sophie Thompson.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, March 30, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Aline Summerlin officiating. Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
