Mrs. Norma Jean Arbaugh Miller, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019. Jean was born in Huntington, WV on January 7, 1927. She married Bill Miller on July 12, 1945 and they lived in Chicago after WWII until they relocated to Chattanooga in 1961. She and Bill were one of the founding families of North Hixson Church of Christ. She retired from Millers Department Store and after retirement, she and Bill were the owners of Norma Jean’s Antiques on Hixson Pike.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William “Bill” Miller; parents, Allison and Anna Mae Arbaugh; daughter, Bonnie Moses; son-in-law, David Moses; and her cat, Prissy.
Survivors include her son, Mark Miller and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Nicholas Miller, Rachel Moses, and Adam Moses.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 24th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 12:00 in the funeral home chapel with Bill Holt officiating. Interment will be in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
