Norm was born in Detroit, Michigan and was a longtime resident of the Hixson area. He was proud to serve his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. Norm was so proud of his country and his branch of service, that he proudly flies both flags in front of his house every day. He was a retired carpenter with the Carpenter Local # 74. Norm attended Middle Valley Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Danny and Gary Hawk.
Norm is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maxine Webb Hawk; daughter, Cindy Hawk; and many friends and extended family.
Norm will be truly missed by his loved ones and friends.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 pm on Tuesday, October 11, and 1 to 2:30 pm on Wednesday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Norm’s Life will be held at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, at the North Chapel. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
