Paul Clifford McGuffee, 85, of Hixson passed peacefully Saturday, April 22, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born September 14, 1937 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, James Bridges McGuffee, mother, Clara Mai McGuffee Millsaps, brothers, Jim McGuffee, and Leslie McGuffee.
Mr. McGuffee was a member of Burks United Methodist Church and the Eldridge Class.
He was retired from DuPont. He was a hard worker all his life. He lived on the family farm; he considered himself a caretaker of God’s Earth.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Margie McGuffee, son, William (Karen) McGuffee, granddaughter and the love of his life, Jordan McGuffee, brothers, Ray McGuffee, and Roy Millsaps, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 12-2 Saturday, April 29. Funeral service will be at 2 at the North Chapel. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
