He worked in the printing and lithograph industry for many years until his retirement.
Paul enjoyed his family, being in the outdoors hunting, and coin shows.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Loretta Patterson, their son, Paul Dean Patterson Jr., and granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Patterson Winniger.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Charlotte (Jeff) Green, and his grandchildren, Amber and Eric Green, Zach Patterson, Chris Haralson, and Jason Haralson,; great-grandchildren, Rylee Hunter, and Aedyn Foraker.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Wayland Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until service time at North Chapel.
