Paul was retired from the City of Chattanooga Maintenance Department and a member of Soddy Church of God. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by three children, Kimberly, Crystal, and Timothy Tilley, and his parents, Floyd and Idabell Tilley.
Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years, Phyllis Smith Tilley, son, Gary (Darlene) Mitchell, daughters, Rebecca (Rick) Williams, Donna (Danny) Napper and Gayle (Chip) Hixson, six grandchildren, two sisters, H. Frances Pace and Stesta Gillman.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 pm Tuesday at the North Chapel.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 15, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Arville Hurst officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
