She was employed at Hardees for 16 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Floyd; cousins, R. B. Shoemate, Jr., Eunice Hicks; as well as her mother and father, Louise and Ed Skillern.
Survivors include several cousins Phyllis Neal of Dunlap; Lucy Wells of Dunlap; Tom Shoemate of Soddy Daisy; Pelham Shoemate of Hixson; Mary Boston of Dunlap; Reeba Thompson of Dunlap; as well as her close friends, Jane (Randy) Hutton; Kim (Rusty) Rogers; Kevin (Kristy) Wilson; Rocky (Kim) McGinnis; and 7 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM to 11 AM on Thursday at the North Chapel.
Graveside services for Phillis will follow at 11 AM on Thursday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
