OBITUARY
Phyllis Niswonger Branton
July 6, 1934 – May 10, 2022

Phyllis N. Branton, of Hixson passed away on May 10, 2022.
She was born on July 6, 1934 to Thomas E. and Helen B. Niswonger in Webb City, Mo. She moved to Chattanooga after high school and began working at the Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant. She worked at the US Postal Service General Mail Facility and retired form there after 30 years of service.
She was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church for over 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Helen Niswonger, sister Judy Hundley, husbands Joe M. Solis and Doyle Branton.
She is survived by her brother Bob (Betty) Niswonger, sons Michael Solis, TK (Valentina) Solis, and Mark (Angie) Solis and grandchildren Carolina Solis, Jackson Solis and TJ Solis and ex-husband Al Good.
A visitation for Phyllis will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 11 am to 12 pm (noon) at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Phyllis will follow at 12 pm on Friday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Chuck Starks officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
