Shorty retired from DuPont and served our country in the Army during The Korean War. Mr. Sisemore was a member of Red Bank Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Barbara Sisemore; his son-in-law, Jack Phillip Scholl.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lavada Rothwell Sisemore; son, James “Rocky” Sisemore and wife Leisa; daughter, Candace Scholl; granddaughters, Jordan and Kirsten Scholl and Sarah Sisemore; brothers, Douglas Sisemore and wife Bernice and Paul Sisemore and wife Dottie; sister, Edna Earle Harris and husband Eldridge; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the North Chapel.
Services for Shorty will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the North Chapel with Minister Steve Lusk officiating.
Burial will follow in National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
