Ricky “Hollywood” Garland Holloway, age 62, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Vera Green and Paul Holloway, his two sons Derrick Alexander Holloway and Daniel Garland Holloway, and his sister Julie Holloway.
Rick was a native of Chattanooga and worked at Southern Tool Steel. He enjoyed tending to his garden and piddling with puzzles; he also loved being “gramps.”
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Janet Mighton Holloway, two daughters Amanda Leigh Holloway and Melissa Anne Padgett (Daniel), step-daughter Emilia Aynne Phillips, granddaughter Leslie Anne Doherty, sister Karen Holloway, former spouse Kristie Simmons Holloway and father-in-law Jesse “Pops” Simmons as well as many dear friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Chattanooga Funeral Home followed by the Memorial Service at 6:00pm with Pastor Wayland Stewart officiating.
