

Bob was born in Sale Creek, Tennessee on December 1 , 1929 . He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired from Chattanooga’s E.I. DuPont after over 40 years of service. Bob was a long time member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church and coached boy’s baseball and girl’s softball in Red Bank for many years.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Rev. L.D. and Mary Phillips; grandson Nicholas Phillips; three brothers David, Roger, and Jim Phillips
His greatest joy was his family
Bob is survived by his wife Jean Phillips of Hixson, TN; three sons Jim (Robin), Michael (Cynthia), Ken ( Sonia) Phillips; daughter Nancy Wallace; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchild; sister Jean Carroll
The family will receive friends on Sunday , December 1 ,2013 from 4-6pm and Monday, December 2, 2013 from 10- 11am at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel
A graveside service for Bob will be conducted at 11:30am on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors
