He was a 1962 graduate of Chattanooga City High School, a former member of the Chattanooga Jaycees, owner of Sunshine Pool Company and a 39 ½ year employee of DuPont. After retirement Bob opened WardCo Construction where worked as a contractor and real estate investor purchasing and renovating multiple rental properties.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Mae Wardlaw. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jackie, and his son Brad (Brooke). “Grand-Bob” as he was called is also survived by his grandchildren Carter and Camilla who brought great enjoyment to him everyday that he saw them.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Memorial Hospital 1 South and Hospice of Chattanooga for the care they provided him during his illness.
The family will hold a private graveside ceremony. In lieu of any flowers or gifts please make a donation to Hospice of Chattanooga instead.
