Helen was born on May 30, 1925, in Blowing Springs GA to Anderson & Bessie Hixson Parham.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Willard O. Bowyer, her parents, eight brothers, and two sisters.
She was employed by Provident Life & Accidental Insurance Co. for over forty years. Helen was an active member of Red Bank United Methodist Church and the Alpha Sunday School Class for many years. She enjoyed “taking care of herself!, walking (especially to the falls at Cloudland Canyon, downtown Chattanooga & Red Bank), ballroom dancing, and skeet shooting. She said that she would always drive her sports car, wear high heels, and have her hair red. She didn’t want anyone to take care of her even when she had health issues (brain aneurysm, breast cancer, broken hip). She was known for doing things her way without asking for help. She was small but mighty.
Helen is survived by several nieces & nephews.
