

He was a graduate of Columbia University, a true scholar who obtained many Engineering degrees throughout his career.
Saul accomplished much in his career and was employed by many places including NASA, Boeing, Rockwell International, and Lockheed Martin Marietta. He loved his career, especially working on projects for country’s defense including; the Space Shuttle, F22 fighter jets, mine sweepers, army tanks, and submarines.
He was a master mechanic who was fascinated working on cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
Saul was of the Christian faith and loved attending church and praying for and with his family.
The pinnacle of his life was the pride he had in his family. At the top of his list was being able to spend time with his family, especially around the holidays. Saul generously loved and spoiled his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Nilda Lindquist Torres, his parents, Jose and Carmen Rodriguez Torres; and his siblings, Robert Cuevas, Josephine Lizardi, and David Torres.
Saul is survived by his daughters, Judith (Frank) Mazza, and Lynda (Tony) Pritchett; 8 grandchildren, Jesse Feller, Kristin Mazza, Andrew Mazza, Cody (Hannah) Pritchett, Dylan (Alyssa) Pritchett, Logan (Lauren) Pritchett, Blaine Pritchett, Gracie Pritchett; 8 great-grandchildren , Luke, Sutton, Harbor, Mila, Ames, Eden, Rylie, and Shepherd; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM EDT on Tuesday July 7, 2026 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Cody Pritchett and Reverend Chad Fromm officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
