If you ever received a Valentine at Black Fox Elementary school from a woman in work boots dressed as a "Country Cupid"...you've already met Sheryl. She didn't just live life - she committed to it. Fully, loudly, and usually with a little bit of mischief. She was fierce, funny, bright, and just the right amount of inappropriate at exactly the right times. The kind of person who could make you laugh when you didn't want to and remind you not to take life so seriously.
Even though she had a carefree attitude toward life, there's one thing she took very seriously - her love of Christmas. At one point, there was a Christmas tree in nearly every room of the house, including the bathroom. She loved jewelry, especially rings and rarely wore just one. One of her happiest places was at the beach where so many family memories were made with the people she loved the most, especially her husband Bill who was her greatest love. Sheryl was passionate about helping children, which showed in her years of volunteering and her time as a member of the school board. But accomplishments aside, she was simply someone who showed up - for her family, her community, and anyone who needed her.
If she were reading this, she'd probably say. "That's enough - did you at least tell them about the Cupid outfit?" Yes, Sheryl, we did because that's who she was - unforgettable. Her legacy is simple: love deeply, laugh often, and don't forget to be a little extra along the way.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Graham; her children Misty (Russell) Decker, William (Tara) Graham, and Ashley (Mat) Collins; and her cherished grandchildren McKenzie Decker, Michael Graham, and Alaina Graham.
She was preceded in death by her father Harley Hess, mother Phyllis Strait Koster, brothers Teddy Hess, Rodney Hess, and sister Debbie Reynolds.
