Shirley was born in Columbus, Ohio, raised in Lancaster, Ohio and has been a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. Shirley went to nursing school in Lancaster, Ohio and was a retired Register Nurse with Memorial Hospital. She was a Christian and enjoyed coloring in Adult Coloring Books.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Burnum; sons, Mark Burnum and Robert Douglas Burnum
Shirley is survived by her son, Michael Shannon Burnum.
The family will receive friends from 11 am till 1 pm on Wednesday, April 1 at the North Chapel.
Funeral services for Shirley will follow at 1 pm on Wednesday at the North Chapel.
Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens
