Our beloved daughter, Stephanie Dawn Jackson, age 40 of Chattanooga, TN passed away Sunday morning March 13, 2022. She is survived by, her parents, Edwinna (Wendy) and David Eyrich, Tony Jackson; her five daughters, Jayde (Cameron), Kaiya, Kendall, Kinsey, and Langston; her sisters, Nicole (Calvin), Kristel (Tim), Jensen (Nick), Emily, and Lizzy; her brothers, Matthew, Ryan, and Ben; her grandparents, Dorothy Schwiger Pickett, Albert Pickett, Millis and Shirley Jackson; and her granddaughter, Lyric; nieces, Brooklyn, Madelyn, Auburn and Everleigh; nephew, Brayden; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Preceding her in death was her great grandparents: Ruth and Otto Schwiger, Albert and Alice Pickett, Clarence and Lessie Jackson.
Stephanie’s greatest joy was her family. Being the eldest was a dubious task, but she was up for the challenge. She led and tortured her siblings through a childhood of obnoxious (but good-natured) pranks with her brother, Matt, generally as her wingman, and sisters. Stephanie loved fiercely and deeply. She was kind and had a huge heart for people with disabilities. You could always count on her hugs and her kisses on the cheek.
Stephanie was intelligent with a quick wit, irrelevant sense of humor (seriously, she could make anyone laugh hysterically), and stunning brown eyes that could make anyone fall in love with her. Her laugh was loud and contagious. What she lacked in stature, she compensated with an overabundance of charisma, charm, and feistiness. Stephanie was a model of strong will and determination.
We will look for Stephanie in the evening sunset, the early spring daffodils, and amongst the flitting and fluttering butterflies. We hope that Stephanie’s legacy and message to all of us is to be more loving and less critical--just as she was.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday March 19, 2022 in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Chasteen officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brian Pickett, Nick Candies, Greg Sims, Calvin Funchess, Ryan White, and Tim Long.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday evening, March 18, at North Chapel.
