He was born February 28, 1952, to Jim and Carolyn Sasse and grew up on Signal Mountain. He graduated from City High School and attended East Tennessee and Chattanooga State. He was a talented violinist and classical guitarist and loved movies. His daughter Sarah and her son Daniel Sasse were the joy of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sonia Sasse, daughter Sarah and grandson Daniel, siblings Carl Sasse (Chris) of St. Louis, Sharon Sasse of New York City, and Jim Sasse (Susan) of Signal Mountain.
A Celebration of Stephen’s Life will be held in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Wednesday November 1, 2023 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday October 31, 2023. He will be laid to rest in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve’s name can be made to the McKamey Animal Center in Hixon, TN.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
