Steven Alexander Gant, age 64 of Hixson, TN, passed away on Saturday, February 6, at Standifer Place Health Center in Chattanooga.
Mr. Gant was born November 3, 1956 to the late Robert Lee Gant and the late Shirley Ann Johnson Dent. He was a graduate of Hixson High School, where he was a star football player, and worked in the construction industry for most of his life. He was beloved by his family.
Mr. Gant was survived by his stepfather Willis Dent, his brother Michael Norwood and his wife Donna, sister Robin Patten and her husband Jeff, and sister Shawn "Missy" Tramel and her husband Chris. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel on Highway 153 on Wednesday, February 10, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday at 3:00 pm.
