Susan was born in Rhea County to the late John and Elizabeth Nail. She graduated from Red Bank High School and the University of Chattanooga in 1962. Susan retired from the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee with 40 years of service. She was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church and the Shaw Murray Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David Nail.
Susan is survived by her brother, John (Tommye) Nail; sister-in-law, Renee Nail; nieces and nephews, John A. Nail, III, Gina Hendren, Angie House, Jennifer Beasley, and David Nail; several great nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation.
Private graveside services will be held on Sunday, June 14, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Reverend David Brackett officiating.
We respectfully request that "social distancing", wearing masks, and all CDC measures be adhered to at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Red Bank United Methodist Church Youth Program, 3800 Dayton Blvd., Red Bank, TN 37415 or Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
