Mrs. Newton was raised in Lookout Mountain Baptist Church. She was formerly employed with Anna Ball White for 10 years; and most recently with Belk Fine Jewelry also for 10 years.
Her husband of 41 years, David E. Newton preceded her in death.
Survivors include her loving daughter and son-in-law, Melanie Ann Newton & Christopher Spear; sister, Julie Dodd Laster; and several nieces and nephews along with many extended family members.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 31, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. at the North Chapel.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Bill Henry officiating.
