Tena Annette Nichols, 62, of Chattanooga passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 after complications from a recent illness. She was born December 11, 1961 in Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Franklin Bishop, Husband, Allen Nichols, and a brother, James Franklin “Bud” Bishop.
Mrs. Nichols loved to dote on her children and grandchildren. She had a huge heart of gold and would help anyone in need. She was an avid cruise enthusiast, big Tennessee Volunteer Fan, and just fun to be around.
She retired from Blue Cross after over 40 years of service as an underwriter.
Survivors include her children, Joshua (Virginia) Whitt, Brandon Whitt, and Richard (Kathy) Nichols; Mother and stepfather, Martha (Bob) Wash; brother, Cecil (Chae Sun) Bishop; and seven grandchildren
The family will receive friends from 4-7 Saturday, December 16 and from 2-6 Sunday, December 17. A private graveside will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chattanooga Food Bank or to Toys for Tots.
