Terry was preceded in death by her parents J.O. Thomas and Carrie Williams and beloved sister Faye Hall.
Terry was a dedicated Office Manager and medical Practice Manager throughout her career. After retirement, she made a full-time job as "Mimi" alongside "Poppa" to her 6 grandchildren - attending and lending support to all manner of athletic and academic pursuits. Terry's love for the music ministry was evident through her involvement in the White Oak United Methodist Church Choir where she was an active member for over forty years. In recent years she found community at Ridgedale Baptist Church, singing in the choir and working behind the scenes in the music program.
In her free time, Terry, above all, cherished spending quality moments with her family. She found joy in nurturing their growth and creating lasting memories together. Her dedication to her loved ones was unwavering, and her impact on their lives will be forever cherished.
Terry leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, George, their sons Kevin (Jason), Skip (Kim), and Chris; grandchildren Drew (Maddie), Abby, Collin, Lucas, Logan and Ethan; step-siblings Nancy, Greta, David and Mark; brothers-in-law John (Linda) and Bob (Susan) Farr, sister-in-law Kay (Don) and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will be a blessing to all who knew her.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Ridgedale Baptist Church, 1831 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421, followed by a memorial service celebrating Terry’s life with Pastor Doug Plumlee presiding.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ridgedale Baptist Church Music Ministry, a cause that was dear to Terry's heart.
