

Thelma was born on November 4, 1934, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Ernest and Flora Mae Edmondson. She retired from Erlanger Hospital with over 30 years of service. Thelma was an active member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she served on the Health Ministries Committee. Over a 30 year period she was an inspiration and mentor to children, youth, and families throughout the community through her involvement with the ASTO Baton Organization, led and directed by her daughters. Indeed, Her family was her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Faulkner; brothers, Vernon, Clarence and Rev. Bill Edmondson; sisters, Eda Mae Morton and Louise Lane.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Faulkner, Darlene (Jim) Johnson, and Kim Craven; son, Steve (Deanna) Faulkner; grandchildren, Autumn (Brad) Holmes, Steve (Natalie) Faulkner, Erin (Charles) Mitchell, Zachery (Carey) Faulkner, Cassidy Craven, and Kara Johnson; great grandchildren, Madi and McClain Holmes, Gavin, Kambria and Annaston Gore, Hailee Mitchell, Brylee and Kinsley Faulkner; sisters, Ruth Sisk and Mildred Parker; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and 12 (noon) to 1 p.m. on Monday at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1505 North Moore Road, Chattanooga, TN 37411.
Services for Thelma will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Gary Carver officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Steve Faulkner, Sr., Steve Faulkner, Jr., Zachery Faulkner, Brad Holmes, Jim Johnson and Charles Mitchell serving as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga for their love and compassion during Mrs. Faulkner’s illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Thelma’s name to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
