She is preceded in death by William McBroom (first husband), Benjamin Shinn (second husband); parents, Grady Carr and Mamie Carr; sister, Mildred Composano; brother, Harbin Carr; and beloved dog, Jay.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Dreaden (Don); granddaughter, Amber Goins (Ben); grandson, David Goins (Kathryn); and great granddaughters, Jayden and Tabitha Goins of West VA.
Marie was a ballroom dancer and involved in Ladies of Charity. She was a cake decorator for many years at Ease Ridge Bakery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 19th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hwy 153 in Hixson. There will be a funeral mass at St Jude Catholic Church, 930
Ashland Terrace, on Friday, October 20th at 11:00 am with Father Charlie Burton as Officiant. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery.
