Theodore (Ted) Morgan Bowman, 91, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020. He was born on October 18, 1928. He graduated from Red Bank High School and the University of Chattanooga. He worked at Dixie Yarns until he retired in 1990.
He was an active member at Red Bank United Methodist Church where he served for many years on the Finance Committee and taught Sunday School. He was preceded in death by his parents Ettie and James Robert Bowman, Sr.; brothers: Bruce, Ernest, and James Robert, Jr; sisters: Pauline Swafford, Robbie Highers, and Betty Greer; wife Billie; and son Steve. He is survived by his daughter Teresa (Phil) Elkins; grandchildren: Melissa (Chris) Byrns, Alan Elkins, Julia Bowman, Laura Bowman, Chris Bowman and Rachel Bowman; great-grandchildren: Ella Walker, Charlotte Byrns, and Elliott Byrns.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 Saturday, October 3, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Reverend Ken Sauer officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Red Bank United Methodist Church, 3800 Dayton Blvd.
