Thomas was a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. He was a self-employed Food Broker for over 31 years.
Thomas is preceded in death by his wife Frances Seiber Tankesley; brother Dr. Robert Tankesley.
Thomas is survived by his Children: Wayne Tankesley (Shirley), Ann Tankesley and Mary Ridge; Grandchildren: Stuart Tankesley, Dana Brock (Dustin),Amy Foutch (Lewis),Jaclyn Ridge, Christine Tankesley, Brianne Tankesley; four Great Grand Children; siblings Jean Fuston and Edwin Tankesley.
Graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Chattanooga Memorial Park with Chaplain Christy Bonner officiating.
Arrangements are by the Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel, Highway 153, Hixson, Tennessee 37343.
