Valerie Reagan, 65, of Signal Mountain passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at a local hospital. She was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late Corbitt M. and Denise H. Reagan. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Stuart Heights Baptist Church. She loved her friends and family deeply. Valerie was the owner and operator of the Chattanooga American Pool Players Association (APA) for over 30 years, where she thrived as an incredible businesswoman. Those who knew her were aware of her artistic flare and keen eye for decorating. She could out shop anyone at the 100 mile yard sale on Signal Mountain where she found many hidden treasures and collectables. She greatly enjoyed unique and one of a kind artifacts and had an incredible gift for creative design. Her love of intricate architecture is best understood by those who have been to her house that she designed by hand. She always affectionately called it “the castle.” She could make anyone laugh with her witty humor and could light up a room with her smile. Valerie was also a great lover of animals, especially wild animals. She would often make donations for the rehabilitation of displaced animals.
Survivors include her brother, Tim (Laura) Reagan; life partner, Dickey Henley; nieces and nephews, Mitch (Tiffaney) Reagan, Jamie (Carolyn) Reagan, Brooke (Grant) Barry, and Candace (Stephen) Archer; nine grand nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 Sunday, March 28 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 with Pastor Gary Jared officiating. Private interment will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to Hospice of Chattanooga, Chambliss Center for Children, Happinest Wildlife Rehabilitation and Rescue Inc. of Chattanooga, or Red Bank Pet Placement Center.
