Venus J White

Venus Jack White, age 85, went home to be with the Lord Thursday.

Venus was born on Signal Mountain June 6th, 1936. He was an Air Force veteran serving from 1954 until 1962. He married his lovely wife, Connie (Cagle), in 1961 enjoying 60 wonderful years of marriage. He worked at DuPont for 33 years retiring in 1996. He was a faithful member of Garrison Road Baptist Church in Dayton, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jackson and Hestle Mae White, siblings, Francis White, Victor White, Hayes White, Burtis White, Mary (White) Harbin, and Cliford White.

He is survived by his wife Connie, children Beverly (Danny) Edwards, Dennis White, Wendy White, and Audra (Kenneth) Cardillo, and sister, Evelyn (Mike) Hancock. His grandchildren, Shelby (Dennis), Drew (Wendy), and Giorgi and Nolan (Audra) and 2 great-grandchildren, Olivia Davis and Jackson Davis. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Tuesday August 24, 2021, with Pastor Arlin Hicks officiating. Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, August 23, 2021, at North Chapel.

The family requests that at the visitation and funeral service masks and adherence to CDC guidelines be followed.
