Mike and Family,

I was so sorry to hear of Vicki's passing. She was one of the first people I met when Signal Mountain people were sent to Red Bank High. We were so scared there wouldn't be nice people there and then I met Vicki and everything was ok - more than ok! Vicki had the kind of laugh that would light up a room and a warmth that surpassed the sun. I hope you  can find peace in having gotten to have her in your life. Love and prayers to all the family. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Vickie was a joyous and giving woman. I was her neighbor for many years. Through the years We bonded and still stayed in touch after we moved away. She helped me with my children, kept us updated on the local happenings and was someone I looked up to. My kids grew up knowing that the Nelms were good people; who also spoiled them on many occasions! The kids and I enjoyed waving to her and Mike on a daily basis. I will remember her with that big smile she always had and feel as if I still can hear the sound of her voice hollering at us from her yard to mine. 

I am a former coworker of Vickie's at Buster Brown Apparel. Vickie was a sweet person. I always thought she was beautiful inside and out. I enjoyed working with her for many years. To her family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Vic was one of my Mom's very best friends.  I grew up with her being like a part of our own family.  She went on my Girl Scout campouts, hosted my bridal shower, and even chaperoned a party I once had in high school when my parents were out of town (I called her freaked out and she came over and never told my parents until later.)  She was an important part of the fabric of my life and I will forever remember her voice, her humor, and what a beautiful soul she was!  My prayers are with Mike and the rest of the family!

She was so fun to work with at Buster Brown. We shared many laughs. One time she got up and left work thinking it was later in the day and she was anxious to go to an appointment . She sheepishly returned after she had driven down the street and seeing the school children coming out of school, realizing it was only 3:00 not 4:00! I have so many fond memories of her! Everyone loved her!

 Vickie was a wonderful person. The world has lost a really fine person. May she Rest In Peace in the arms of the Lord.
