Mrs. Virginia J Jeffery

She retired from Crye Leike Realty as a broker in 2014. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star and Ladies Shrine. She was a member at South Seminole Baptist Church, and the Whosoever Will Sunday School class. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harold E. Jeffery Sr.; grandson,, Justin Jeffery; parents, Joe and Della Shipley; two brothers, Jack and Paul Shipley; and two sisters, Roxie Crisp and Brownie Skidmore.

Survivors include her daughter, Wanda (Dave) Dickerson of Chattanooga; son, Harold (Candice) Jeffery, Jr. of Crossville, TN grandson, Stephen Jeffery; and great grandchild, Hannah Jeffery and her mother, Mary Hurst of Bridgeport, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Elmcroft of Chattanooga, The Lantern at Morning Pointe, Erlanger East Hospital, and Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga, for the excellent care given to our mother.

Due to the current pandemic, there will be no visitation. Services will be at 10 am on Tuesday, September 15th graveside at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Dave Dickerson officiating. For those unable to personally attend the service, it will be on Facebook Live at www.fb.com/chattanooganorthchapel. For those attending the service we ask that all CDC Covid-19 rules be adhered to, including wearing masks and social distancing.
