Mr. Prichard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and long-time active member of Ridgedale Baptist Church, active in prison ministries.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter P. Prichard Sr. and Julia Prichard and siblings, Frances (Martin) Nelson, Hershal (Madge) Prichard and Lois (Jack) Thomas.
Survivors include daughters, Vanessa A. (Phillip) Harris, Natalie S. (Donnie) Wassom; sons, Walter “Trey” (Gay) Prichard III, Jason E. (Carrie) Prichard; and their mother, Gail Prichard; seven grandchildren, Jeremy M. Jolly, Christopher L. Jolly, Jessica M. Overturf, Jonathan D. Wassom, Chandler B. Prichard, Austin B. Prichard and Morgan T. Prichard; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Jolly, Keagan Jolly, Cambren Jolly and Sylar Jolly; siblings Dorothy (Marcus) Gann, Barbara (Eddie) Weller, Doris (Mickey) Wilson, Larry (Judy) Prichard and Jackie (Linda) Prichard.
The family will receive friends from 4 PM to 7 PM today (Sunday) at the North Chapel . A service will be held Monday at 2:30 PM at the North Chapel with Dan Parker officiating; burial in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
