

Wanda Faye Butkus passed from this life into the presence of her Lord on Thursday, September 12, 2019. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on December 8, 1939 to the late Thomas S. Easley, Sr. and Gladys Easley. She lived in Harrison, Tennessee for the past 18 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Butkus; infant brother, and brother, Thomas S. Easley, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memories are her sister, Deborah Elaine Smith, Silverhill, Alabama; daughters Fayelynn (Curtis) Yancey, Harrison and Lynelle Butkus, Madison, Wisconsin; grandson, Christopher Yancey, Ooltewah; granddaughters, Hannah (John) Phillips, Brooklyn, New York, Krystal Butkus, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; great granddaughters, Riley Yancey, and Brighton Koerner; one great grandson, Clyde Koerner; sister-in-law, Judy Easley, Lillian, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
Wanda moved to Chicago, Illinois after attending Vanderbilt University, were she met the love of her life and got married. She worked in various medical facilities throughout her life. While in Harrison she had over 3000 hours of volunteer service at Memorial Hospital.
Wanda loved spending time with her family, cooking, and gardening. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Erlanger Medical Center MICU for their great care and love.
Funeral services will be 6:00 pm Monday, September 16 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Angel officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday from 3-6 at the funeral home.
There will be a Graveside service 2:00 Monday, September 23, in St Anne, Illinois.
