She was born October 16, 1940 to Eugene and Ophelia Hixson. Wanda was a graduate of Hixson High School and Mount Berry College then went on to get her Master's Degree in Medical Technology. She started her career out at Erlanger Medical Center and went on to retire from CHI Memorial as the Chief Medical Technologist. Wanda married James Weems on December 15, 1962.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, listed above and nephew, Andy Allison.
Survivors include husband, James Weems; sister, Beverly (Arthur) Allison; sister-in-law, Diane (Buddy) Gilstrap; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a graveside service Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 Highway 153 Hixson, TN 37343.
